Panacur Dog/Cat for the treatment of infections with roundworms, tapeworms, and Giardia in dogs and cats.
Available as Panacur tablets or Panacur Panacur KH Pet Paste. This product is suitable for dogs and cats of every age, so also for puppies and kittens.
The recommended dosage for kittens, puppies and adult dogs and cats is 50 mg of fenbendazole per kg of bodyweight per day for three consecutive days, administered orally.
In the case of Panacur Pet Paste, adult cats are given 75 mg of fenbendazole per kg of bodyweight per day for two consecutive days.
Worming is of great importance: to keep your animal, yourself and your family, healthy, it is important to deworm your dogs and cats regularly. Worms can make your pet and especially your kitten or puppy seriously ill, you don't want this to happen. Depending on the kind of worm, worms can make a tour through the animals body and can damage organs such as the lungs, liver and intestines, possibly leading to obstruction, diarrhea or vomiting. Worms also have an adverse effect of the animals resistance, will cause inflammation and lower the effect of a vaccination. Of course you want to protect your pet against all kind of parasitic infections, but keeping your animals free of worms is also better for the health of all the other members of the household.
It is wise to deworm all adult animals up to 4 times a year or sometimes even more depending on the risk of infection.
