Milbemax Dog and Milbemax Small Dog/Puppy have been developed to deworm your dog or puppy. Regular deworming is easy with the small, plain or tasty tablets that kill the most common worms in dogs, such as roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms.
When Milbemax is given monthly, it also protects your dog against heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis), an infection that is transferred by stinging mosquito's. So when you travel with your dog in heartwom areas, such as Southern- and Eastern Europe, check if prevention of heartworm disease is indicated.
Milbemax Dog is available in two variants, namely for small dogs and puppies or for large dogs. Which variant you choose depends on the weight of your dog.
Milbemax Small Dog/Puppy: 1 tablet up to 5 kg of body weight.
Milbemax Dog: 1 tablet up to 25 kg of body weight.
Worming is of great importance: to keep your dog, yourself and your family, healthy, it is important to deworm your dogs regularly. Worms can make your dog and especially your puppy seriously ill, you don't want this to happen. Depending on the kind of worm, worms make a tour through the animals body and can damage organs such as the lungs, liver and intestines, possibly leading to obstruction, diarrhea or vomiting. Worms also have an adverse effect of the animals resistance, will cause inflammation and lower the effect of a vaccination. Of course you want to protect your dog against all kind of parasitic infections, but keeping your animals free of worms is also better for the health of all the other members of the household.
It is wise to deworm all adult dogs up to 4 times a year or sometimes even more depending on the risk of infection.
