Milprazon Cat & Milprazon Small Cat/Kitten have been developed to deworm your cat or kitten effectively and safely. Regular deworming is easy with the small tablets that kill the most common worms, such as deworms, hookworms and tapeworms.
When given monthly, Milprazon also protects your cat against heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis), an infection transmitted by biting mosquitoes. So if you are traveling with your cat in heartworm areas, such as southern and eastern Europe, check whether heartworm disease prevention is indicated.
Milprazon Small Cat/Kitten: 0.5 tablet per kg bodyweight.
Milprazon Cat: 0.5 tablet per 4 tablet per kg bodyweight.
Milprazon Cat and Milprazon Cat Small/Kitten have been developed to deworm your cat or kitten effectively and safe. Regularly deworming is easy with the small tablets that kill most common worms in adult and young cats. The worming tablets, with among others the active ingredient milbemycin oxime, kill roundworms and hookworms. When Milprazon is given monthly, milbemycin oxime also protects your cat against heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis), an infection that is transferred by stinging mosquito's. So when you travel with your cat in heartworm areas, such as Southern- and Eastern Europe, check if prevention of heartworm disease is indicated. Praziquantel is the active ingredient that kills tapeworms.
Worming is of great importance: to keep your cat, yourself and your family, healthy, it is important to deworm your cat regularly. Worms can make your cat and especially your kitten seriously ill, you don't want this to happen. Depending on the kind of worm, worms make a tour through the animals body and can damage organs such as the lungs, liver and intestines, possibly leading to obstruction, diarrhea or vomiting. Worms also have an adverse effect of the animals resistance, will cause inflammation and lower the effect of a vaccination. Of course you want to protect your cat against all kind of parasitic infections, but keeping your animals free of worms is also better for the health of all the other members of the household.
It is wise to deworm all adult cat up to 4 times a year depending on the risk of infection.
