Safety
Seresto is a very safe product to use. The safety of the collar is confirmed by multiple studies. For starters, the collar releases and distributes the active substance in a constant manner. The active substances are stored within the polymer matrix and only small amounts are delivered to the tallow layer of the skin.
Furthermore, the cat collar features a buckle that releases if the cat is caught on something and there is a predetermined breaking point in the collar which provides extra safety. Because of this, your animal can free themselves if necessary.

Does your dog love swimming?
That’s no problem! The Seresto collar will keep working. Research has shown that the working duration of the collar is not reduced against ticks. The efficacy against fleas however, does decrease after the fifth month. Keep this in mind if your dog swims often!
Different sizes of Seresto
To ensure that the Seresto collar can optimally do its job, it must fit perfectly. Therefore, there are multiple sizes. For dogs up to 8kg, there is Seresto Small Dog (neck circumference: up to 38 cm) and for larger dogs (neck circumference: up to 70 cm) there is Seresto Big Dog. For cats, there is Seresto Cat.
The collar should be worn continuously. To avoid irritation, there must be ensured that the collar is not too tight, but certainly not too loose. In the first few days some itching or redness may occur, but these symptoms should disappear within one or two weeks. Seresto collars may be used on puppies from 7 weeks old and kittens from 10 weeks old. The use of the collar on pregnant animals is not recommended. The picture below indicates how you can put the collar on your animal.
Moreover, Seresto has videos that explain how to put the collar on for both cats and dogs.
